In public, Q is a quiet man; a watcher. He enjoys sitting back and observing, as well as stereotyping the many people he sees pass through the crosshairs of his scope. He's well-read and intelligent, but he tries to keep those facts to himself. Humans are interesting creatures; they're all worth studying. He studies them because subconsciously he feels inadequate.
Bornes does not have friends. He has acquaintances and contractors. He doesn't like the idea of becoming close to those around him, because once you look too far into someone, you start seeing yourself. And Q wants everything but to be reminded of what a failure he is.
Because of this, he loves drinking and going to clubs. In an inebriated state, he can be anyone, do anything. He goes to exotic fetishist bars and clubs, if they're in the town. He likes people fawning over him. He likes fawning over them. He likes knowing that he's not the only freak, and that other people enjoy freaks.
Q is a person who prefers to ignore or walk around a problem rather than face it directly. He is not afraid, he simply doesn't want to be bothered. This reflects in his fighting style and career choice. Kill from afar and not be seen... And Aikido, using the other person's attacks and momentum against them.
In a drunken state, Bornes has a false sense of pride. He believes he is better than normal humans because of his characteristics, though he doesn't openly flaunt his "powers". He believes he is the perfect blend of human and animal. Human enough to be a looker, beastly enough to be amazing in bed. "Girls love that."
When Bornes talks of his father, he never uses possessive pronouns. Bornes' father is not "my father" it is simply "Father" with a capital F. Father insisted Q was normal and did all he could to make Q so; Father almost disowned Q for admitting he liked boys. Q now subconsciously tries to bang every woman to win back Father's love. Bornes needs to prove that he is not Father's failure.
Bornes is technically bisexual, but prefers women over men as described above. When going for physical relationships he almost exclusively seeks out women. If ever he were to seek a romantic relationship it would probably be with a man.
Quatre's first love was a man, after all, and because of this and Father's rather old-fashioned views, women are mostly sex objects, and the number of whom you have been with directly correlates with how much of a man you are.
And Quatre Bornes would never want to be seen as less than a man.
